Alcohol Addiction Rehab Programme
Alcohol Addiction Rehab Programme
LCC Alcohol Rehab Programme is a therapeutic and bio-psycho-social educational programme designed over 12 sessions, to combat problem drinking.
By understanding the reasons why you drink and the dangers of problem and binge drinking, it can assist in enabling you to create new strategies to drink safely, cut down or stop completely.
During the programme, you will gain knowledge and understanding of your relationship with alcohol to help combat problem drinking and explore triggers and underlying contributing factors using psycho-education, therapeutic intervention, exercises and homework assignments.
You will learn what happens in the brain before, during and after drinking. We will explore and identify why you are drinking, how much and how often along with a thorough cost-benefit analysis of the benefits and disadvantages of your drinking and the effects and consequences on your physical, mental and emotional health as well as the impact on your relationships, finances and other affected areas (bio-psycho-social).
The objectives of the programme are to:
● understand your relationship with alcohol and to explore the underlying reasons for your drinking
● understand how alcohol affects the body, mind, and spirit (bio-psycho-social model) and learn new coping mechanisms and strategies for managing your drinking
● gain knowledge and understanding of how alcohol abuse affects the brain
● create a thorough cost-benefit analysis to identify both the pros and cons of drinking and abstaining
● understand how the ‘Cycle of Change’ and ‘The Addiction Cycle’ contribute to problem-drinking
● understand triggers, cravings, and high-risk situations that are imperative to prevent relapse
● understand the links between your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and actions
● identify and recognise your core values and how these are impacted by alcohol use
● identify your stressors and learn new ways of managing stress without using alcohol to soothe
The 12 sessions are an hour each and can be conducted weekly, or twice a week depending on your requirements.
We will contact you to discuss your requirements and schedule to your convenience once the booking is confirmed.
