The Managing Anxiety Programme is a 8-session online programme to enhance anxiety management. This includes counselling and therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, breathwork exercises and homework assignments.

The sessions will enhance your knowledge and understanding of your stressors and anxieties, along with a thorough cost-benefit analysis of the benefits and disadvantages and the effects and consequences of anxiety on your physical, mental and emotional health as well as impact on your relationships and other affected areas (bio-psycho-social).

Working through this programme will enable you to understand anxiety better, its roots and how to effectively manage it by enhancing your resilience and learning new coping strategies.

The objectives of the programme are to:

● Increase knowledge and understanding of anxiety, its origins and the accompanying thoughts, feelings and actions associated

● To understand how anxiety affects the body, mind, and emotional system (bio-psycho-social model) and to learn new coping mechanisms and strategies for managing your anxiety

● to be able to recognise the biological symptoms in the body to gain control of your anxiety

● to effectively identify your personal anxiety triggers and determine the contributing factors in real-time

● to develop and implement effective coping strategies for managing anxiety in social situations, including challenging and reframing negative self-talk in social situations and reducing negative thoughts

● to incorporate lifestyle modifications, including changes in diet, exercise, sleep habits, and stress management techniques to support your overall well-being.

● to identify and focus on cognitive distortions, cognitive restructuring and relaxation techniques

● understand how anxiety affects you physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually and how stress responses, and maladaptive stress responses are a response to anxiety

● Understand Nervous System Regulation to understand how it becomes dysregulated, the different states and how to regulate more effectively (identify states, name emotions and regulate effectively)

The 8 sessions are an hour each and can be conducted weekly or twice a week, depending on your requirements
