The Cocaine Addiction Rehab Programme is a 12-session programme designed to help combat cocaine addiction and identify underlying contributing factors using psychoeducation, therapeutic intervention and homework assignments.

Cocaine is an addictive, stimulant drug which can make people feel more alert, energetic and confident. In addition to the effects, there are significant health and mental health risks, which will be identified. Therefore an understanding of why you are using cocaine, how much and how often will be explored along with a thorough cost-benefit analysis of the benefits and disadvantages of your using and the effects and consequences on your physical, mental and emotional health as well as your relationships, finances and other affected areas (bio-psycho-social).

The objectives of the programme are to:

● To understand your relationship with cocaine and to explore the underlying reasons for your using

● To understand how cocaine affects the body, mind, and spirit (bio-psycho-social model) as well as your relationships and finances in the long and short term

● To create a thorough cost-benefit analysis to identify the pros & cons, rewards, benefits and consequences of both using and abstaining from cocaine

● To understand how the ‘Cycle of Change’ and ‘The Addiction Cycle’ contribute to cocaine addiction and recovery

● To understand triggers, cravings, and high-risk situations that are imperative to prevent relapse

● To understand the links between your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and actions

● to identify and recognise your core values and how these are impacted by cocaine use

● To identify your stressors and learn new ways of managing stress without using cocaine to self-soothe

The 12 sessions are an hour each and can be conducted weekly, or twice a week depending on your requirements.
